The Lighthouse Learning Hub is an education provider open in Basingstoke.  We are a Christian organisation and a not-for-profit company. Our ethos and values are reflected in the activities we provide.  Our aim is that children will be inspired to learn, through the guidance and support of our fully qualified teachers so they are able to shine as confident individuals.

Our mission is to work for the benefit of the community out of Junction 6 at Everest Community Academy.  We provide high quality preschool and after school learning support, dyslexia and other special educational needs teaching and some community activities. For more details see below...

Preschool

An Ofsted registered 52 place Early Years setting for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. We are open 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We accept children with funded and non-funded hours including 15 hours for 2 year olds, 15 and 30 hours for 3 and 4 year olds.                                       

Dyslexia Support

One to one or small group tutoring for children with additional learning needs.  Children will have an individually tailored programme of intervention to support and progress learning as appropriate.  Available during and after school Monday to Friday. Run and managed by qualified SEN teachers.                                                                                                                                                 

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor Learning for our children takes place at our designated WOW Space (Wonderful Outdoor World), a 5 minute walk from our building into the school grounds. The older children go to this area every day and we aim to follow the Forest School ethos giving children an opportunity to explore learning outside.                                                                                                                                      

  Afterschool Learning

Afterschool learning for children of Primary school age that will be focussed on enhancing the National Curriculum, particularly Maths and English, in a fun and interactive way.  We are open between end of school and 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Community

The Lighthouse Learning Hub, has been set up as a “not for profit” organisation.  All surplus funds are reinvested in its objectives, the main one being the benefits to its community, looking to help the local community in whatever ways we can.
